Rent an Electric Boat At Los Vaqueros

No private boats are allowed at the Los Vaqueros Reservoir, but you can rent an electric-powered boat at the Marina, at the South Entrance of the watershed near Livermore.

Boats are available only on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not take reservations.

There are 30 16-foot boats available, and two 18-foot pontoon boats. Some of the 16-foot boats have canopies.

To rent a boat, you must be at least 18-years of age and be able to leave a deposit that will be refunded when the boat is returned.

Boats are available from the time we open, but must be returned two hours before we close.

Life jackets are provided.

Weather at Los Vaqueros is often at opposite ends of the rest of the Bay Area and the Valley. Boats will not be rented in extremely windy weather. Your best bet is to check the current weather. Here is a link to a forecast for the Livermore Airport, which has weather very similar to the watershed.

You can also call the Marina at (925) 371-2628 for weather info.
