- Smart Irrigation Controller(s) must be WaterSense labeled
- Rebate is $12 per active (used) irrigation station (zone) up to 50% of the list cost of the controller(s)
- Rebate does not include tax, delivery or labor
- Limit 1 controller rebate per customer per address every 10 years. Multiple controllers per address may be allowed on a case by case basis. Pre-approval is required.
- Smart Irrigation Controller(s) must be installed prior to submitting an application
- WaterSense feature(s) must be active, i.e., controller programmed in self adjusting mode
- Smart Irrigation Controllers that rely on weather monitor/sensors in order to be WaterSense labeled must have the weather monitor/sensors installed
- Phone app. must be installed if app is needed for Smart Irrigation Controller to be WaterSense labeled
- Contra Costa Water District is not responsible for any increases or decreases in your landscape water use or damage to your landscape that may occur as a result of installing the WaterSense labeled controller and using the WaterSense features
- Application must be submitted with a copy of the of the purchase receipt of the controller(s)
- Rebate application must be received by CCWD within 90 days of equipment purchase date
- Smart Irrigation Controller(s) must remain in use for 5 years after receiving the rebate
- Program is subject to available funds and CCWD reserves the right to alter the program at any time without notice
- Applicant will allow CCWD staff to inspect the installation of the Smart Irrigation Controller(s)
- Applicant will allow CCWD to review the program settings on the Smart Irrigation Controller and preform an irrigation survey to verify settings match site conditions
- Applicant certifies that necessary permissions have been obtained from the property owner, if applicant is not the owner
- Applicant is responsible for complying with all applicable codes, regulations and permit requirements
