Delivering water to your home requires a large amount of infrastructure you don’t typically see. The vast network of pipes that brings water from our treatment plants to your home extends nearly 900 miles in all.
Providing water service requires constant and ongoing maintenance. Like all things, pipes, valves, and fittings age. At a certain point they stop functioning efficiently. To prevent emergency water outages, we proactively replace our infrastructure to ensure you and your family have reliable water for today and tomorrow.
As our system ages, we have been increasing the amount of pipeline replacements each year. We recently upgraded three miles of water pipes in the Gregory Gardens neighborhood in Pleasant Hill. And we’re currently working to upgrade additional pipes in other neighborhoods throughout our service area. Learn about a project in your neighborhood.
