Golden eagles are among the fiercest predators trolling the skies of California, capable of diving at speeds approaching 200 mph when pursuing prey. In late winter and spring, the Los Vaqueros watershed is often the best place to see golden eagles.
Every year beginning in late winter, Golden Eagle nesting activity is monitored and trails and public areas around the nests are closed. See a list and map of all current trails closed to public access.
Our 2021 Annual Parking Passes are available for purchase at the North and South Entrances.
